For heavier business logic, like tiered grower payouts, seasonal pricing rules, or multi-warehouse inventory, we often reach for Laravel and a PostgreSQL database, because complex financial calculations and reporting are cleaner to maintain when the data model is strict. When a project needs offline-friendly field entry or real-time dashboards, React on the frontend does the heavy lifting. We pick based on what the work demands, not on a house stack we push onto everyone.

A fair warning about rural and seasonal operations: connectivity in the field is not always reliable. If your crew is entering data from an orchard with two bars of signal, we design for that up front with local caching and sync-when-connected behavior, rather than assuming a perfect connection and watching data vanish. Building that in later is expensive. Building it in from day one is not.
