We build web applications that live in a browser and handle the messy middle of a business: the approvals, the handoffs, the data that five different people need to touch. Most of our projects start because a company hit a wall with a tool that almost worked. For that Torrey Pines lab, we built a sample-tracking portal with role-based access so a CRO could log results without seeing another client's data. We reached for PostgreSQL here because the audit trail had strict relational integrity rules, and a document store would have made compliance queries painful. The result cut audit prep from two days down to about three hours.

San Diego's defense and maritime suppliers deal with a different problem entirely: procurement and inventory spread across contracts, warehouses, and government reporting requirements. A web app that ties purchase orders to shipment status and flags a discrepancy the moment it happens is worth far more than a prettier dashboard. We focus on the workflow logic first and the interface second, because a beautiful screen over a broken process just fails faster.

One honest tradeoff worth naming: not every business needs a single-page React app. If your tool is mostly forms and reports, a server-rendered Laravel build loads faster and costs less to maintain. We only reach for a heavy React frontend when the interface genuinely needs real-time interaction, and we will tell you when it does not.
