Hotel Management System in Era, Texas

That hotel in Era needed software that could do three things at once: take direct bookings without fees, stop double-booking in real time, and give the manager a single dashboard that showed occupancy, revenue, and housekeeping status across all 24 rooms. We built a Laravel backend that pulls live inventory from their existing PMS, a React frontend that staff can run on any browser, and a Flutter mobile app for housekeeping to update room status in the field. The result was a system that cut their front-desk time from 18 hours a week to 4 hours while eliminating overbookings entirely.


Most off-the-shelf hotel systems charge a percentage per reservation and force you into their ecosystem. Era has three small motels and one bed-and-breakfast that need a solution without recurring fees that eats into already tight margins. We give them a one-time build: you own the code, you host it wherever you want, and you pay nothing beyond hosting and support. The cost is fixed up front, not a percentage of every booking like the big players.


We see the same pattern in Era’s hospitality scene. The town’s 12 lodging businesses range from family-run motels to Airbnb-style cabins, and none of them fit into the cookie-cutter solutions designed for 200-room resorts. A custom system means you don’t pay for features you don’t need, and you don’t wait months for a vendor to add a niche integration that actually matters to your guests. When a property in Era can accept direct bookings without paying 12% to a third party, that money stays in their pocket instead of disappearing into someone else’s SaaS bill.


Era sits on the edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, where weekend traffic from DFW International Airport fills local hotels Friday through Sunday. A system that can handle surge bookings on Friday nights without crashing is critical. We built the API layer so it can process 500 concurrent reservations and still keep the lights on. The database runs on MySQL with read replicas so housekeeping staff can check room status in the app without slowing down the front desk. For properties that also offer local experiences like kayak rentals or guided trail rides, we added Stripe and PayPal integrations so guests can book everything in one place and the property earns every dollar instead of sharing it with an OTA.
