We built a centralized platform using a **Laravel** backend paired with a **MySQL** database to handle complex relational data including patient demographics, physician schedules, and insurance verification logs. The system uses encrypted **REST API** endpoints to communicate securely with external laboratories and third-party pharmacy networks without exposing sensitive Protected Health Information.

For the clinical staff interface, we chose **React** because its component-based architecture renders dense patient medical histories quickly without full-page reloads. Doctors can view test results, medication lists, and vital signs on a single dashboard during consultations. This setup reduced chart retrieval times from four minutes to under two seconds during peak clinic hours.

Billing departments process patient payments through integrated **Stripe** modules directly inside the patient portal, cutting uncollected balances down by 31 percent in the first quarter of deployment. Automated text and email reminders sent via **Firebase** reduced missed appointments from 18 percent to under 4 percent across all participating care units.

We also developed a companion mobile application using **Flutter** for on-call nurses who need to update patient vitals and medication administration records while moving between rooms. The application synchronizes offline data automatically once network connectivity is restored, ensuring patient records remain accurate even during temporary hospital network outages.
