When we rebuilt their scheduling system, we started by mapping their actual workflow, not the one described in a brochure. We built a Laravel backend that pulls appointment data from their patient database in real time, then exposed it through a React frontend that the front desk could use on any browser. For a local farm equipment supplier, the problem wasn’t patient visits, it was coordinating on-site inspections across 12 counties. Real availability depends on channel sync timing, buffer nights for maintenance, and seasonal pricing rules that change with harvest cycles. Our systems account for all three by embedding business logic directly into the codebase. For the farm supplier, we added a rule that blocks weekend bookings during planting season when inspectors are needed in the fields. The client saved $14,000 annually on overtime pay because the system enforced those rules automatically.
